Terms that come up across ad intelligence, social intelligence, AI visibility, and the fintech verticals lvl covers.
- Account Health (Social)
- A composite view of how an organic social account is performing over time, including posting cadence, engagement trends, and follower growth. Used to judge whether a competitor's social strategy is working or stalling.
- Ad Intelligence
- Tracking and analyzing the paid advertising a competitor is running: creatives, targeting signals, offer structures, and how long ads stay live. In fintech, this typically covers the promotional claims, rates, and incentives brokers and platforms use to acquire customers.
- Ad Transparency Center
- Public, searchable archives that platforms like Meta (Ad Library) and Google (Ads Transparency Center) provide, showing which ads are currently running or have run on their networks. A primary data source for competitor ad intelligence.
- AI Visibility (GEO)
- How often, and how favorably, a brand is mentioned when people ask AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overviews questions related to that brand's category. Also called Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). Increasingly a factor in how prospective customers form an opinion before ever visiting a website.
- Compliance Flag
- An automated, advisory signal that a piece of advertising creative may raise a regulatory or disclosure concern, such as missing risk warnings or unsubstantiated claims. Compliance flags are informational only, advisory and beta, not a legal determination. They are not a substitute for legal or compliance review.
- Creative
- The actual ad asset (image, video, or text) that a brand runs on a platform like Meta or Google. Creative intelligence tracks which creatives a competitor is running, how long they stay live, and how their format mix shifts over time.
- Financial Promotion
- A regulatory term (used by bodies like the UK's FCA) for any communication that invites or induces someone into an investment activity, including advertising. Financial promotions are typically required to be fair, clear, and not misleading, and to carry appropriate risk warnings.
- FX/CFD Broker
- A brokerage offering retail clients the ability to trade foreign exchange (FX) and contracts for difference (CFDs), leveraged instruments for speculating on price movements without owning the underlying asset. FX/CFD marketing is subject to some of the strictest financial-promotion rules in retail finance.
- Grounded Citation
- When an AI assistant's answer references or links to a specific source to support a claim. Tracking grounded citations shows which sources, including a brand's own site, review platforms, and third-party press, are actually shaping what AI assistants tell prospective customers.
- Offer
- The commercial terms embedded in a piece of advertising: a broker's spread, leverage, or funding split; a prop firm's challenge fee or profit split; a stock broker's commission structure and sign-up bonus. Offer extraction turns unstructured ad creative into comparable, structured data.
- Prop Firm (Proprietary Trading Firm)
- A company that provides its own capital to individual traders, typically after they pass an evaluation or "challenge," in exchange for a share of trading profits. Prop firms compete heavily on funding terms, profit splits, and challenge structure, and market aggressively across paid and organic social.
- Sentiment (AI Narratives)
- Whether an AI assistant's mention of a brand is framed positively, negatively, or neutrally, and what specific narrative accompanies it. For example, being described as "beginner-friendly" versus "expensive" in response to a comparison question.
- Share of Voice
- The proportion of category-relevant mentions, ad impressions, or AI-assistant answers that belong to a given brand versus its competitors. A brand with high share of voice is disproportionately present wherever people are researching that category.
- Social Intelligence
- Monitoring competitors' organic (non-paid) content on social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok: what they post, how often, and how audiences engage with it. Distinct from ad intelligence, which covers sponsored placements.
